My current favorite Omakase in London is Ginza Onodera. Last year, my favorite sushi chef, Araki SAN left London, and I started looking for other Japanese restaurants in London that cost performance. During the year, I tried almost every Japanese restaurant and found Ginza to be my favorite.

In Shanghai, the store is located at №18 on the Bund. In Ginza in Tokyo. And on Fifth Avenue in New York, which is basically an international benchmark of high-grade Japanese Food. Of course, the location of London is also heavily invested in Mayfair. Continuing the tradition of other restaurants, the restaurant is divided into ‘iron plate’, ‘barbecue’ and sushi waiting tables. The menu also covers a relatively comprehensive range of Japanese food.

As soon as you sit down, you can feel the meticulous Japanese service. We sit at the counter, where we can communicate with sushi chefs. Sushi chefs will also be very careful to tell us how to make each dish and where the fish is produced. After eating the whole menu, the environmental and service are satisfactory and pleasant, and the taste is also good. Looking around London, The Ginza’s Omakase is cost-effective.

Counter Sit

Menu includes a Salmon Roe Chawan mushin イクラ茶碗蒸し, Seasonal Hors d’oeuvre, Sushi 握り鮨 12 pieces, one red miso soup and one dessert.

The sushi ingredients are all fresh, and the peony shrimp is really sweet. And the tuna’s back meat is aging just right, with just no toughness in the mouth and a sweet, slightly sour flavor. The sea urchin is made from Canadian sea urchin. It’s very good quality, sweet in the mouth, but with a slight fishy at the end.

Next is a personal opinion, for reference only. One thing I don’t like about eating is that you can feel the thickness of the slices. Due to the thickness of the slices, some will feel fibrous in the mouth.

But other than that, I wasn’t disappointed. Compared with the same price of Sushi Tetsu, Ginza Onodera was very easy to book and cost-effective. The environment was very comfortable, so it was a good idea to have dinner and chat with friends.
